Hello! I am Emisha Ravani here!
I would like to write the content for the very well known an Indian novelist, actress, essayist, political activist and sort of social activist too. Who is, Arundhati Roy. Her full name is 'Suzanna Arundhati Roy' , was born at 24 th November 1961 at meghalaya, India.
She has written a great novel 'The God of small things' which has won the prestigious man Booker prize.she began writing her first novel in that novel in 1992, completed in 1996. She has described that how each person has a small things in their lives to be happy to be loved and to love. Wherein she contrasts with the big things like politics, money, cultural norms, status and all. And how indian society has violence to live with the simplest way inspite of the big things with nonsense. Then she has contribute in literature a lot in her own way.usually she focused on social obligations, class and society, love and sexuality etc.
Here are some quotations by her,
" To love.
To be loved.
To never forget your own insignificance.
To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.
To seek joy in the saddest places.
To pursue beauty to its lair.
To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple.
To respect strength never power.
Above all, to watch.
To try and understand.
To never look away.
And never, never to forget. "
- The cost of living
"Either way, change will come. It could be bloody, or it could be beautiful. It depends on us! "
" There's really no such thing as the 'voiceless'. There are only the deliberately silenced, or the preferably unheard. "
" Another word is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing. "
From all above words we can reach at the level of her thoughts for the human rights and lives.
